To inspire the Cupcake Wars contestants

I was going through the interwebz and decided to find pictures of sexy cupcakes for you ladies (and possible gentlemen) to use as your inspiration for the contest.

Are you a Twific writer? – Southern Twinights Blog and Podcast

SouthernTwinights

Ok guys, I’m using the blog to pimp my stuff.  In case you missed it, I’m starting a new blog and podcast, starring some of your favorite Southern girls from Team Fire and Ice as well as a few more you may not have met yet.  The idea I had was to start a blog/podcast for and about Twific writers.  I’ve seen a million blogs for readers, but very few to offer help and support to the writers out there.

All of us need some help from time to time.  It could be as simple as needing a human thesaurus and as complex as looking for a beta or figuring out how to get started in this whole mad fanfiction business.

We’re just getting started right now with a few blog posts, and our first podcast will be coming soon.  Stop on by and give it the once over.

Can you guess what ThatPanicGirlE's new story is about?

I'll just put it to you this way... what do Hwy. 9, hollow trees, fast cars and the 1940s all have in common?

Driving in the Moonshine

The year was 1943 and the cars were fast and the girls weren’t, but Jasper, Emmett and I were having the time of our lives.

The biggest bounty of our lives just came up and we weren’t about to back out of this one. We knew the consequences but our eyes were on the prize and the payout would be worth it.

My baby, a black 1940 Ford coupe was paid for by 'still money and it was fast. It was the fastest car out there and not only could it outrun the law, it could beat out any car on the road trying to reach the same goal. We were known for not only being fast, but being crafty. Only Emmett has been caught and it was his own fault. He learned from his mistake and now keeps a keen eye out for me.

I remember how we got mixed up into this crazy world of booze and money. Momma and Daddy almost lost our farm when they couldn’t pay the taxes on the land that had been in our family for generations. When started working with a farmer up the road, I discovered his shine still by accident one night and instead of dealing with a double barrel shotgun in my face, I promised him I would run his goods down into the Carolinas and Florida.

My brothers, Jasper and Emmett, came on board once they discovered how much money we would make. Momma and Daddy never said a word about the cash. I think they were grateful for not worrying about feeding us and how they would pay for farming supplies.

“Edward, please tell me you put enough gas in this car this time,” Emmett said as we fled down the road. We were being followed by two state troopers. They knew what we were up to and I was patiently waiting for the lights to flip on and the chase to begin. They knew though, once my Coupe hit the state line, they had no control over me anymore.

Happy Belated Birthday Ms. AntiSocialAngel

I feel awful and I'll tell you why. This girl deserved a better birthday present than some belated birthday post on our blog but for now, I hope this makes up for our disastrous attempt in making it up to you. Miss Fangbanger06 aka AntiSocialAngel celebrated her birthday this past week and well, we should have done a post about it sooner. I guess we were all busy tied up in school work, homework or something else and I feel bad.

So Ms. Fangbanger, here's to your birthday and I hope you had a great time. We love you lady and I'm sorry we didn't do this sooner!

Fandom People Awards Open for Nominations

The Fandom People Awards hosted by the TwicFic Pimps are open for nominations as of September 6.  They will be accepting nominations until October 4th.  Categories exist for authors, readers, betas, blogs and the fandom in general. According to the Twific Pimps blog and podcast, these awards are meant to recognize all the unsung heroes in the fandom, not just the authors.  Think about all those great reviews, that one person you can always count on to cheer you up when you've had a bad day, the one who made that awesome banner for you out of the blue (no pun intended, lol).  Remember the biggest unsung heroes of all, your betas and pre-readers.  Who makes the best blinkies?  Who's just a laugh on Twitter?  Who's reviews make you keep writing even when you want to pack it all in?

Click on the link below to go to the nominations page.  There are tons of categories for authors, readers, and everyone else.
